The Navajo Nation in northeast Arizona is a place unlike any you will find in the United States. It is a place of unemployment and poverty. It is a place where homes look more like shacks, existing without running water, electricity, or even paved roads. It is a place that needs the love of Jesus Christ embodied.
In an effort to help the Navajo people this summer, RISE Student Ministry has teamed up with Tuba City Church of Christ. June 24–July 3, we will take a group of high school students and adults to work and live alongside the Navajo people. We will help with construction and maintenance projects, host a week-long VBS for the Navajo children, and experience a small slice of Navajo culture, among other things.
